I have an excellent, north valley, client looking for an automated QA tester. This QA will be a liaison between the developer and business unit. It is a 4 month, contract to hire. This software runs on the desktops, so our client would be looking for individuals who have done testing on desktop applications.
Requirements:
Position Summary:
The overall responsibility of this position is to ensure that software released into the production environment meets customer requirements as well as basic quality assurance standards.
Essential Functional Skills and Responsibilities:
· Work as part of the Quality Assurance team to ensure that products meet customer requirements
· Write and execute test strategies and plans
· Develop test scripts based on customer requirements
· Perform automated or manual tests as necessary
· Perform regression testing
· Perform integration testing
· Perform load testing
· Deliver performance benchmarks for products verifying results meet business needs
· Complies with the standards in the software development life cycle
· Assist in the development of additional related processes

Job Specifications:
Education / Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
· 5 years of experience as Quality Control Analyst
Computer Skills
· Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of personal computer software applications including Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio)
· Proficient working knowledge of manual and automated testing tools (e.g., Rational, Mercury). Demonstrated use of automated testing scripts.
